Vidyajyoti scheme bringing huge change in School education

Agartala, Aug 18: Director of Secondary Education Chandni Chandran on Friday said the Vidyajyoti scheme is bringing a robust change in the entire school education system of the state.

She said, the Vidyajyoti schools offer standard learning process including smart classes to the students and give them opportunities to become competent in various aspects.

The Director said, Vidyajyoti is a big project which needs time for proper implementation. The good part is that the process has already started in all aspects including recruitment.

She also said, the parents are now preferring Vidyajyoti schools for admission of their children. The state has 125 Vidyajyoti schools at present.

The Director on Friday inspected Kanchanpur English Medium School and Dharmanagar Girls' HS school in North Tripura.

She said, the Kanchanpur sub-division has 5 Vidyajyoti schools. In the past academic year, Kanchanpur English Medium school had secured very good results in CBSE examination.

The performance of the school was better than average performance of state (80 percent above pass percentage in CBSE 12th). The visit was to check how it can be improved further and what all lessons can be learnt from the school, she said.

"The state government has already taken steps to improve infrastructure in all schools especially the Vidyajyoti ones," she commented.
