Agartala, April 19: The electoral atmosphere in Tripura is vibrant and celebratory as citizens head to the polls.
As of 9:00 AM, the West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency has witnessed a 15.9 percent voter turnout, while 7 Ramnagar Assembly Constituency recorded 12.28 percent participation.
Long queues of eager voters have formed outside polling stations, reflecting the state’s commitment to democratic engagement.
Tripura, being a prominent state, has a history of robust voter participation. Consequently, the sight of voters patiently waiting at various polling centers since morning is not uncommon.
However, some polling stations encountered EVM malfunctions during the initial hours.
Swift action by the Election Commission ensured that the polling process resumed smoothly, allowing citizens to cast their votes without further hindrance.
