Voting free and peaceful despite instigation from Cong, CPM: BJP

Agartala, June 24: The state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said the voting in all four assembly constituencies was ‘free and peaceful’.
The ruling party congratulated the people for participating in the election in a festive mood. He also hailed the role of the Election Commission and Security Forces for conducting the polls in a free, fair and peaceful manner.
Addressing a press conference, BJP state unit vice-president Rajib Bhattacharjee alleged that the voters had exercised their votes despite concerted efforts and instigation of Congress and CPI-M to make the election a farce.
He informed the media that six BJP karyakartas were injured after being attacked at the last moment of voting in Surma constituency.
Bhattacharjee said, he is confident of BJP’s victory in all four assembly constituencies- Agartala, Town Bordowali, Surma and Jubarajnagar.
