Agartala, Aug 26: In yet another tragic road mishap, a woman's hand was chopped off on Monday morning.

The incident took place near the traffic point of Old Raj Bhavan area, where the hand of the lady Anamika Datta, resident of Nandan Nagar area was severed from her body after the two auto-rickshaw collided with each other.

The lady was onboard in an auto-rickshaw, which was heading towards Agartala city from GBP hospital Chowmuhni area while another autorickshaw was heading towards GBP hospital at high speed.

The injured lady was immediately rushed to Agartala GBP Hospital in an unconscious condition, where she is presently undergoing treatment.  

Alarmed by the incident, police of NCC police station rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation. Police had begun a probe into the incident.
