Belonia, Feb 15: The State Women’s Commission, led by Chairperson Jharna Debbarma, conducted an inspection of the One Stop Center in South Tripura district headquarters, Belonia, on Saturday. The visit aimed to assess the center’s functionality and infrastructure.

The commission’s team also visited the Belonia Women’s Police Station to review women’s safety measures. Speaking on the inspection, Chairperson Jharna Debbarma emphasized the importance of women’s security and empowerment, stating that similar reviews are being conducted across the state.

Debbarma urged police and authorities to provide full support to victims of abuse and expressed concern over child marriage, calling for collective efforts to eliminate the social menace. The commission reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening support systems for women in the state.
