Agartala, April 29: Expressing discontent over the decision of accommodating aspirants in writing their examinations outside the state apart from Agartala, the Pradesh Youth Congress staged demonstration outside the Tripura State Cooperative Bank Ltd (TSCBL) headquarters here at Agartala on Monday.
Youth congress state president Neelkamal Saha, who led the demonstration said that the decision of the bank in accommodating the aspirants outside the state to write their examinations has landed the youths of the state in trouble. He opined that the unemployed youths of the state who are reeling under crisis are finding difficulties to afford their travel expenditure to sit for their examination in other states.
“We want the bank authority to reverse their decision and ensure that the applicants of the state of Tripura are accommodated within the start for writing their examination,” he told reporters. He threatened to lock the bank on Monday if the authority does not reverse their decision.
In addition to this, the youth congress activists on Monday also expressed their discontent over selling of forms by the bank authority. Youth congress leader Neelkamal Saha said that the bank has already collected Rs.1.70 crore by selling more than 19,000 forms for filling up the 156 posts in different categories.
The TSCBL earlier stated that the examination, to be conducted by the IBPS, for filling up 156 posts in different capacities will not be possible to be held in other places in the state due to constraints in sitting capacity.
