Agartala Jan 13: Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur said that the future of India is solely dependent on the capacity of youths who can shape a new future for the entire world.
Addressing the program at "YUBA SAMVAD-India @2047" at Agartala, here on Friday Thakur highlighted how youths can take part in every sector in making India forward.
He called upon the youths of the nation to contribute towards making India a better place to live in and work towards making the country a Vishwa Guru.
The Minister said, “The future of the country is dependent on the constructive, collective, and collaborative capacities of the youth to shape the new world order”.
Encouraging the youths to fight against social evils, the Minister urged them to convert the challenges before them into opportunities.
Remembering Swami Vivekananda and his ideologies, Thakur also urged the youth to project the unsung heroes of the Freedom Movement on social media platforms.
He also said that as a part of Y-20 engagement group, Y-Talks and Y-Walks will be held in every University and Colleges of the state.
Speaking on the occasion, MoS Pratima Bhowmik observed that the youths of the state and nation are assets who can lighten up the world with their knowledge and skills.
She added, “The youths must be more aware of their rights and should exercise them with responsibility”.
Minister of State Youth Affairs and Sports and Information and Cultural affairs, Sushanta Chowdhury also encouraged the youths of the state in his speech.
Director YAS Subikash Debbarma, DM West Debapriya Bardhan Padma Shree Awardee from Tripura Dipa Karmakar among others remained present at the days program.
