Agartala Jan 09: Tripura chief minister Dr Manik Saha on Monday asked the 10,323 terminated to teachers have patience while mentioning that the state government is trying to resolve their issue.
The 10,323 teachers have been pitching for reinstatement of their services for long time. Since the onset of BJP government in Tripura, the state has seen numerous protest movements of the sacked teachers in a bid for permanent solution.
As the state is scheduled to go for polls in next few days, the 10,323 terminated teachers are yet on roads while a fraction is carrying out ‘fast-unto-death’ agitation.
According to the retrenched teachers, ‘The RTI of Supreme Court has clarified that not all 10,323 teachers were a party of the judgement and only a few number of teachers’ jobs were challenged”.
Therefore, based on that perspective, the 10,323 teachers are now battling for restoration of services.
On being asked by the reporters over the issue, chief minister DR Manik Saha said, “The state government also wants to restore the services of 10,323 terminated teachers’ and we are constantly holding talks and taking experts from legal advisors”.
“The protestors have been showing their logic and based on that I am talking with the legal experts”, he added.
The chief minister further urged the terminated teachers to have faith in government and have patience.
