14 Bangladeshis held in 3 districts of Tripura

Agartala/ Dharmanagar, Sept 01: As part of its continued efforts to prevent illegal infiltration by Bangladeshi nationals, the Border Security Force (BSF) detained 14 nationals of the neighbouring country and five Indian touts from three districts in Tripura in two separate drives.
On Sunday, based on secret inputs, the BSF troops of Bhaithanbari BOP detained five Bangladeshi nationals including four girls while they were trying to enter Indian territory by negotiating the border fence. They are residents of Khulna and Dhaka districts of Bangladesh.
In another operation, two Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended by BSF troops of Belonia BOP under South Tripura District, while they were trying to enter Bangladesh territory through unfenced riverine area with the assistance of three Indian touts. The detained persons are residents of Noakhali district of Bangladesh.
The BSF troops also detained the three Indian touts, who were facilitating the illegal infiltration by the Bangladesh nationals.
In the third operation, the BSF troops of Bhatiabari BOP at Karbook in Gomati district detained seven Bangladeshi nationals including five women and one child along with two on Sunday. Two suspected Indian touts were also detained by the BSF.
