2 Bangladeshis detained for illegal entry

Kailashahar, Sept 20: Two Bangladeshi citizens were detained by BSF after crossing into India at Chatlang, near the India-Bangladesh international border on Thursday night. The two individuals, Mohammad Sahid (38) and Aklima Begum (25) from Manikganj, were apprehended while attempting to enter India illegally in search of work.
The detainees were handed over to the Irani police station and later produced in Kailashahar court. According to Irani police official, Tarani Jamatia, the individuals were seeking employment in Chennai and had been aided by Bangladeshi brokers in their crossing. During routine checks, the police noticed injury marks on Mohammad Sahid’s back, raising further concerns.
