Dharmanagar/ Kailasahar/ Charilam, April 23: The former Tripura Chief Minister and presently the Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb on Sunday visited three separate districts of the state and attended his party workers and leaders as part of the BJP’s month-long ‘booth sashaktikaran’ campaign ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
Deb on Sunday visited the Dharmanagar in North Tripura district and chaired a party meeting. Party leader Malina Debnath, MLA Jadab Lal Nath and Bhabatosh Das among others were present in the meeting.
The meeting mainly focused on streamlining the party police for the ensuing Lok Sabha election. Series of issues were discussed in the meeting including the activities needed to be undertaken during the month long ‘booth sashaktikaran’ campaign, which is to begin from May 15 till June 15 next.
Deb also chaired a meeting at Kailasahar party office in Unakoti district of the state and said that his visit was a part of his after assembly election courtesy meeting with the party workers and leaders in Kailasahar. He also said that the meeting mainly discussed strengthening the party by connecting more people and highlight the achievements of the Modi government at the centre.
Party’s Unakoti district president Pabitra Debnath, Kailasahar Mandal president Siddhartha Dutta and party leader Amalendu Das among others were present in the meeting.
The Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb later visited the Sepahijala district of the state and chaired a meeting with the party workers and leaders at Bishalgarh party office. He said, “After establishing the second term of our government in Tripura this year, the BJP party is now focused on strengthening the booths targeting the Lok Sabha polls to be held next year.”
“This campaign is also to ensure that the BJP wins the two LS seats in Tripura in the ensuing election,” he said, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working with a positive vision for people's welfare and nation building.
He said, “The BJP party which started from zero is now recognised as the strongest party in Tripura by achieving people’s trust and it has become possible due to the hard work and efforts of the party karyakartas.”
“Now we have to build a strong organization at the booth level here in the state and we need to build booth level leaders, who are able to establish close relations with the people. To form a government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is necessary to establish a cordial relation with the people,” he told reporters.
