Agartala, March 27: Tripura’s capital town of Agartala is all set to dazzle with its grandeur as it gears up to host the much-awaited G20 Science Summit, which is to commence from April 3 next for two days here at Agartala International Fair Ground.

The Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Deepak Majumder on Monday said that the beautification work is underway in and around the city following the G20 science summit.

The beautification work from Agartala MBB airport to the G20 summit destination at Hapania is presently underway, he said, adding that the city is also being illuminated with lights following the arrival of the national and international delegates, who are to join the summit.

He said that the beautification work is mainly focused on depicting the rich cultural heritage of the state of Tripura. This is also to apprise the delegates about various tourist destinations of the state, he told reporters.

He further informed that the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will officially inaugurate the newly installed sound and music show here at Agartala Ujjayanta Prasad premise on March 31 next.
