Agartala Nov 06: Organized by the Office of the District Project Coordinator, Samagra Siksha, West Tripura, two-day long District Level Kala Utsav-2024 commenced from Wednesday.

Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor and Ramnagar assembly constituency MLA Dipak Majumder inaugurated the Kala Utsav at Maharani Tulsibati Balika Vidyalaya in the state capital.

Addressing the event, Mayor Dipak Majumder emphasized on the importance of involvement of students with various cultural and recreational activities along with regular studies.

“Cultural activities complement education and help students to become all-rounders”, he said.

Majumder noted that Kala Utsav’s serve as excellent platforms for talent development. He also acknowledged the role of Kala Utsav in the holistic development of students across the state.

The Mayor in his address also mentioned that Tipura is gaining a national reputation for its cultural excellence.

“The Kala Utsav aims to showcase the diverse talents of students and foster a rich cultural environment, contributing to the overall growth and recognition of Tripura's educational and cultural landscape”, he said.

Apart from the the MLA, the event based in West Tripura district, saw the presence of several other dignitaries including West Tripura Zilla Sabhadipati Balai Goswami, Elementary and Secondary Education Director NC Sharma, Vice- principal Tulsibari School Preeti Debbarma among others.

The event will feature a total of seven cultural competitions, with students and teachers from various schools in the West District participating.
