Kanchanpur, Jan 23: Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Dr. Raj Bhusan Chowdhury, as part of his aspirational block visit programme, visited Dasda on Thursday.
He first visited Radhamadhavpur Village Council area and attended ‘Griha Pravesh’ programme for a house built under PMAY-G.
The Union Minister then reached Uttar Dasda village council, where he interacted with SHG/ FPO members and beneficiaries under the PM-JANMAN Yojana.
Next, the Union Minister moved to Ashapara Khumpui village council for inauguration of DTW scheme, benefiting the local villagers.
Before his return to Dharmanagar Circuit House, he also chaired a review meeting on Key Performance Indicators under Aspiration Block Programme at Kanchanpur Revenue Dak Bungalow.
The Union Minister was accompanied by MLA Philip Reang, MDC Shailendra Nath, North Tripura District Magistrate Debapriya Bardhan, District Forest Officer Suman Malla and other officials from line departments.
Meanwhile, on the first day of his visit to North Tripura, the union minister held a review meeting at Damcherra block on Wednesday.
In the meeting, he said that the central government laid special focus to uplift socio-economic status of the people under the Aspiration Block Programme.
He also visited several areas under the Damcherra block and inaugurated two water treatment plants at Kaskaubari and Halambari.
