Agartala, December 23: The state BJP has unveiled the names of newly appointed Mandal Presidents for all 60 assembly constituencies in the state. The announcement was made during a press conference at the BJP state headquarters earlier on Monday. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha extended his congratulations to the new appointees via social media, expressing confidence in their ability to strengthen the party’s grassroots leadership.
The appointments cover a wide range of constituencies across the state. In West Tripura District, Indrajit Debbarma has been named Mandal President for Simna, Kartik Acharjee for Mohanpur, Shibendra Das for Bamutia, Rajib Saha for Barjala, Rajesh Bhowmik for Khyerpur, and Ranjit Ray Chowdhury for Majlishpur, among others. In Sipahijala District, Nirmal Debbarma for Takarjala, Kajal Sarkar for Kamalasagar, and Tapan Das for Bishalgarh are some of the notable appointments.
Khowai District saw appointments like Sukesh Debbarma for RC Ghat and Anukul Das for Khowai. In Gomati District, Amar Jamatia was announced as Mandal President for Bagma, Sani Saha for RK Pur, and Biswajit Marak for Matabari. Meanwhile, in South Tripura District, Joydeb Sarkar for Rajnagar, Sayantan Datta for Belonia, and Debashis Bhowmik for Santirbazar were among the appointees.
Dhalai District witnessed appointments such as Dhanyamanik Tripura for Raimavelly and Shampa Das for Kamalpur. In Unakoti District, Santosh Dhar for Pabia Chara and Tarun Kumar Das for Fatikroy were named Mandal Presidents. For North Tripura District, notable names included Bimal Purkayastha for Kurti Kadatala and Bikas Nath for Bagbasa.
CM Manik Saha congratulated the appointees on social media, stating, “I am confident that your leadership and dedication will bring more momentum to the BJP's mission of empowerment.” His message was echoed by other senior leaders, including MP Biplab Kumar Deb, State BJP President and MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Ministers Ratan Lal Nath and Sushanta Chowdhury, and former Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik, who also extended their warm wishes.
