Agartala, April 11: BJP candidate for the West Tripura Parliamentary seat and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Thursday continued his poll campaign through the party's ‘Shakti Kendra Baithak’ in various parts of the state.

BJP candidate Biplab Kumar Deb had begun his poll campaign on Thursday by addressing an election rally at Agartala Durga Chowmuhni and later he moved to Charilam and Kamalasagar to attend the party’s Shakti Kendra Baithak.

During his election campaign, the former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb underlined the 10 years of achievement of Modi-led government at the centre and drew massive response from the voters.

Amid his effortless campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the election rally here at Agartala Swami Vivekananda Ground on April 17 next.

PM Modi will address the election rally in support of Biplab Kumar Deb, who is contesting against the I.N.D.I.A bloc candidate and Congress leader Ashish Kumar Saha in the West constituency.

The first phase of Lok Sabha election, scheduled to be held on April 19, is believed to be a high-voltage contest as the former Chief Minister of Tripura is up against the Tripura Congress chief.
