Agartala Jan 15: The Unakoti district has set a remarkable milestone in health services with the recent achievement of National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification by four Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (sub-health centres) in the district.
The centres that have received this prestigious certification are Jalai, West Masauli, Rangauti, and South Dhanichara Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.
Notably, NQAS is an important benchmark for reviewing the quality of health services in India. This certification process involves a thorough assessment of health centres at various levels to determine their service standards.
To achieve NQAS certification, a health centre must score more than 70 percent in the final level assessment and meet all required criteria.
Jalai Ayushman Arogya Mandir, established in 1978, this centre has been pivotal in providing primary health services to the local community for over four decades.
Established in 2012, West Masauli Ayushman Arogya Mandir has consistently contributed to the health and well-being of its residents.
Rangauti Ayushman Arogya Mandir started in 1993, and it has since played a crucial role in offering essential health services.
Also, established in 2013, the South Dhanichara Ayushman Arogya Mandir has been a key provider of primary health care in the region.
Recently, an inspection team from the Union Health Ministry visited these four centres to monitor the quality of services provided. Based on their comprehensive assessment, the centres were awarded NQAS certification.
The District Health and Family Welfare Association has congratulated all the health workers involved for their dedication and hard work in achieving this significant milestone.
The health department has stated that this success marks significant progress in the district's health services, and further steps will be taken to maintain and enhance this trend in the future.
