Agartala, March 29: The ruling BJP on Saturday talked tough against the opposition CPI(M) and labeled the party as ‘terrorist-sponsored party’, which do not want peace in Tripura.
Addressing a press conference here at party headquarter in Agartala, the party leader and MDC Padmalochan Tripura said, “The issueless CPI(M) is trying to disturb peace and harmony prevailing in the state. They never want development and peace here and hence they are doing malign campaign against the BJP-led government in Tripura.”
The statement has come up in wake of the recent argument between the minister Ratan Lal Nath and Leader of Opposition Jitendra Choudhury in the assembly over ‘Jaat’ remark by the minister Ratan Lal Nath.
“Minister Ratan Lal Nath referred to the CPI(M) while he uttered Jaat. The Minister said CPI(M) jaat and never insulted the tribal sentiment as was claimed by the LoP,” he said, adding that It is the CPI(M) and not the BJP, which believes in running peace and harmony in the state.
He claimed that the BJP believes in development of indigenous tribes in Tripura and hance adequate budget has been allocated for the welfare of the indigenous tribes of the state.
“People will never trust this terrorist sponsored CPI(M), which is also the agency of China and Pakistan. The CPI(M) wants to reshape terrorism in Tripura through their activities,” he told reporters.
