BJP leader acquitted from ‘fabricated’ molestation case

Dharmanagar, June 26: The District and Session Court Judge of the North Tripura district on Wednesday acquitted the former vice chairman of Panisagar Panchayat Samiti and also a BJP leader of Jubarajnagar assembly constituency Narayan Nath Chowdhury from the 2020 false and fabricated case of molestation case.
Reportedly, the opposition congress leader Anjali Nath Chowdhury had filed a molestation case against the ruling BJP leader Narayan Nath Chowdhury in the year 2020, when presently the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha was the president of the BJP. Following the molestation, the BJP Pradesh committee initiated an enquiry against Narayan Nath Chowdhury and later found him innocent in the case. But, under acute pressure from the local BJP leaders in Jubarajnagar assembly constituency, Narayan Nath Chowdhury was forced to resign from the post of vice chairman.
On the other hand, Narayan Nath Chowdhury was claiming that a false case was filed against him based on some family and land dispute.
After a long hearing, the District and Session Court Judge of the North Tripura district Angshuman Debbarma acquitted Narayan Nath Chowdhury from the case. After the court’s judgement, acquitted Narayan Nath Chowdhury said that a false and fabricated case was lodged against him to defame him in the party.
He said that he believed that the court would give him justice and accordingly he was acquitted from the case.
