Agartala, Jan 03: The state committee of the Central Trade Union on Friday remembered the central committee member of the Tripura Motor Sramik Union (TMSU) here at Agartala CITU state office.

A memorial meeting was held here at Agartala CITU office, where the former transport minister and TMSU leader Manik Dey, CITU leader Shankar Prasad Datta, Amal Chakraborty and others were present.

Saha breathed his last at his Ashram Chowmuhni residence on December 29 last after suffering from a prolonged kidney disease.

The CITU leaders in their speech in the memorial meeting hailed the contribution of Shankar Saha and said that he worked immensely for the growth of the union and was a forefront man to work for the welfare of the motor workers of the state.
