Colorful procession marks Netaji Jayanti in Agartala

Agartala, Jan 23: Along with other parts of the country, Netaji Jayanti was also celebrated across Tripura including Agartala as ‘Parakram Diwas’ on Tuesday.
To mark the occasion, a colourful procession was organized in Agartala commencing from Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan.
In the procession, the participating students beautifully highlighted the rich cultural heritage and narrated the message of unity in diversity.
Hundreds of people witnessed the procession with tableaux and wonderful presentations of the students depicting Bharat Mata to Lord Ram, traditional dance forms to palanquin and social awareness to Azad Hind Force.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Mayor Dipak Majumder, social activist Rajib Bhattacharjee and other dignitaries were present at the Netaji Jayanti celebration held at Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan.
The patriotism of Netaji and his contributions in the freedom struggle of the country is a source of inspiration for all of us. His bravery and courage was unmatched.
The Chief Minister said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2021 announced Netaji Jayanti as ‘Parakram Diwas’ in honour of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Dr. Saha said, the contributions of our Freedom Fighters were given due respect since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister.
