Agartala Dec 26: The continuous attacks on the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution by the RSS during the ongoing BJP-regime is a matter of deep concern.
As the Tripura Unit of Communist Party of India (CPI) observed its centenary, the Left leaders criticized the BJP-led government and RSS for playing with the sentiments of people in the name of ‘Hindu Rashtra’.
The prime celebrations for entering 100th year was held at the CPI State Office, Jhunu Das Bhavan, Agartala by hoisting the red flag, symbolizing the party's enduring commitment to its principles and ideals. Following the flag hoisting, a special organizational meeting was conducted in the meeting room of the party state office to mark the centenary.
The event saw the participation of party members, leaders, and supporters who gathered to honour the legacy of the Communist Party of India and reflect on its contributions to the nation's political landscape.
Talking to the reporters, Milan Baidya, Asst. Secretary CPI State Committee said, “The CPI's 100th anniversary is a momentous occasion, celebrating a century of struggle, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the principles of communism. The party's journey over the past hundred years has been marked by significant achievements and challenges, and the centenary celebrations serve as a reminder of the party's enduring legacy”.
“Today people are suffering with real issues like joblessness, price hike of essential commodities and many more. But instead of working for the development of the people, the BJP in hands with the RSS is focused on advocating divide and rule policy in the name of religion”, he alleged.
“We now have to fight for a new India where the Constitution and Rule of Law will be in force and people will see real welfare and development”, said Baidya.
Similar celebrations were held in different parts of the state on this day.
