Agartala Feb 10: A conference of Tripura Pradesh Unorganized Workers Congress Committee was held at the Pradesh Congress headquarters in capital city on Saturday.

TPCC president Asish Kumar Saha, Congress MLA Gopal Roy among others remained present at the conference.

Addressing the reporters in this context, TPCC president Asish Kumar Saha said, “The Congress is tirelessly fighting for the interests of the working class”.

“Under the BJP governance, the working community has been hit hard. The BJP- led government never complied with its promises made to the people instead formulated and imposed anti-workers policies”, he said.

The meeting discussed strategies to fight the ensuing Lok Sabha polls and also formulated ways to strengthen the party’s organization.

Chairman of Unorganized Workers Congress Committee Santanu Pal, Pradesh Congress Committee vice- president Shantiranjan Debnath, Distriuct president Tanmoy Roy among others remained present at the day’s conference.
