Agartala Sept 13: With the help of the central government, the state government has been providing a level-playing field to the youth in a bid to build a stronger and self- reliant state, said State Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma.
Wednesday, a total of 115 newly trained beneficiaries of Sankalp, Samarth and Jal Jeevan Mission were provided certificates in a program organized under the initiative of Department of Skill Development.
This includes 20 nurse maids, 15 traditional artisans and 80 general plumbers and assistant electricians.
Besides, 15 candidates who have recently received training under Samarth Scheme were given job offer letters at the program.
Inaugurating the MIS Portal at Hall No. 4 of AGMC and GBP Hospital, Minister Santana Chakma handed over the certificates to the newly trained youths.
This web portal, namely, skillportal.tripura.gov.in will collect and track all the day-to-day activity going on in the Skill Development Department.
Addressing the program, Santana Chakma said, “The government has taken initiatives to make the unemployed youth self-reliant through skill development. Many people who have been trained in this program are actively working in various fields”.
Principal Secretary of Industry and Commerce Department KS Shetty, NSICA Zonal General Manager Vijay Prakash, AGMC and GBP Hospital MS Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, Director of Skill Development Department Sanjay Chakraborty and others were present at the program.
