Disabled artisans will proudly display their creations at stalls within the park. From home décor and clothing to stationery and eco-friendly products, visitors can explore a diverse array of offerings.
The organizer appealed to the people to come, appreciate, and support these talented individuals by purchasing their products.
The DIVYA Kala program serves as a platform for disabled entrepreneurs and artisans to showcase their skills. This fusion of creativity and empowerment aligns with the program’s core mission.
The event, spanning from February 6 to 11, promises more than just product displays. A vibrant lineup awaits visitors, including a fashion show, cultural performances, and a spirited sports meet.
Minister Ratanlal Nath who joined the inauguration of Divya Kala Mela on Tuesday mentioned in a social media post that the event was started in December 2022 in New Delhi with a view to provide a bigger platform for Divyangans for marketing their products and craftsmen skills.
He also mentioned, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recognized the abilities of the PwDs and given them the name of Divyangan i.e. emphasizing on abilities rather than disabilities. The central government has incorporated various schemes to empower these people.
