Udaipur, Dec 18: An individual identified as Doyal Hari Debnath was presented in Udaipur court on Wednesday amidst tight security involving R.K. Pur police, TSR, and CRPF personnel. According to the RK Pur police, Debnath was arrested on Tuesday night during a special operation conducted by an R.K. Pur police team in Agartala.

The arrest followed a complaint lodged by a BJP worker, accusing Debnath of using social media to spread defamatory content against a ruling party MLA and the party itself. After his overnight detention, Debnath was escorted to Udaipur court under strict security arrangements.

Officials emphasized the importance of the security measures due to the sensitive nature of the case. During the court session, Police requested five days remand for Debnath in order to launch a stringent investigation in the case.
