Agartala May 24: Tripura Fair Price Shop Management Association, Sadar SMC Committee on Wednesday, organized a blood donation camp.

Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder praised the efforts of the association as he inaugurated the camp along with other dignitaries.

“It is highly appreciable how the Tripura Fair Price Shop Management Association is carrying out social activities apart from their responsibilities towards the people of the state”, he said.

Highlighting the appeal of chief minister Dr Manik Saha as he urged the social organizations, clubs and others to come forward in organizing blood donation camps in a bid to mitigate the crisis of blood in the state blood banks, the Mayor said, “The blood banks in the state are reeling with shortage of blood and through such camps the demand of blood can be met and it can be ensured that no one dies due to shortage or unavailability of blood”.

The Mayor also greeted the people who voluntarily donated blood at the day’s camp.
