Boxanagar August 14: Bharat Mata Puja was held on Sunday in a grand manner under the initiative of Agiye Chalo Club in Kalamchoura area in Boxanagar.

Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Dev took part in the Yajna along with BJP state secretary Jasim Uddin, BJP South District Committee president Debabrata Bhattacharya, Vice President Tofazzal Hossain, Boxanagar Mandal President Subhash Chandra Saha and many others.

At the end of this puja, the former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb visited the residence of Party’s Sipahijala South District president Debabrata Bhattacharya and Boxanagar Yuva Morcha Mandal president.

Later Biplab also visited one of the famous archeological sites of Tripura, Boxanagar Buddhist Stupa.

Talking to the reporters former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Dev said, “Boxanagar is majorly a Muslim minority area. But there is peace and harmony between people of all religious beliefs and communities”.

Deb added during the tenure of the present BJP government in Tripura an atmosphere of peace and harmony has been established and developed to a great extent in Tripura.
