Farmers’ Knowledge Centre inaugurated at Mohanpur

Agartala, Jan 16: Education minister Ratanlal Nath on Monday said the state government has taken various steps to increase the farmers’ income.
After inaugurating a Farmers’ Knowledge Centre at Mohanpur block complex, he said, highest priority is being given to the development of the Agriculture sector along with healthcare and education sectors.
He said, the goal of building Atmanirbhar Tripura can’t be achieved without making the farmers Atmanirbhar. With this view, the state government has taken steps including procurement of paddy at minimum support price and the farmers are receiving the benefit.
Chairman of Mohanpur Panchayat Samity Reena Debbarma, chairperson of Mohanpur municipal council Anita Debnath and corporator Matilal Das were also present in the inaugural programme.
Superintendent of Agriculture, Mohanpur- Uttam Saha delivered the welcome address. The Farmers’ Knowledge Centre has been built at an expenditure of Rs. 58 lakh.
Meanwhile, the Education minister also inaugurated a sub-health centre at Tulabagan Chowmuhani.
