Generation Welfare Society extends support to SHG members

Agartala, Nov 18: Generation Welfare Society, an NGO from Agartala, has extended its support to members of various Self Help Groups (SHGs) in Dhalai district.
With the financial assistance from NABARD, the NGO organized a training programme by involving around 30 women under 10 SHGs in Kulai Gram Panchayat from October 28 to November 13 last.
The SHG members were imparted training on marketing bag making during the Micro Enterprise Development programme, according a press release.
The representatives from Punjab National Bank and Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission from Ambassa joined the training and discussed the process for taking loans.
At the end of the training programme, the participants were given stipend and certificates. Pradhan, Kulai Gram Panchayet- Anima Das handed over the certificates and the stipend to the participants.
Secretary of Generation Social Welfare Partha Pratim Paul in the press note mentioned that the NGO has taken the responsibility for arranging machine and raw materials along with marketing of the products.
