Agartala, Sept 8, 2024: Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu, addressing the 13th convocation of Tripura University, urged students to use their knowledge to drive positive societal impact and contribute to the nation's development.
In his speech, he emphasized the need for innovation and problem-solving through education, particularly as global education systems evolve with advancements like Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Governor stressed the importance of adopting modern learning techniques alongside a strong foundation in traditional education.
He highlighted the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, focusing on its objective to create employment opportunities based on educational qualifications. Governor Nallu encouraged students to take an active role in the Prime Minister's vision of making India a developed, self-reliant nation by 2047.
A total of 163 students from various academic levels and disciplines received medals and certificates, with the Governor, Chancellor of the University, Ahmed Javed and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ganga Prasad Prasain leading the award distribution.
Register of the university, Deepak Sharma, faculties of various departments and others attended the convocation ceremony held at the Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya Auditorium of the University.
