Agartala, Apr 1: The Udiya community of Tripura celebrated Utkal Diwas on Tuesday with a special event at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan. 

Governor Indrasena Reddy Nannu inaugurated the programme in presence of other dignitaries.

In his inaugural address, the Governor highlighted Odisha’s rich cultural heritage, diversity and natural beauty. He emphasized the state’s historical significance, spirituality and artistic excellence.

Commending the organizers for hosting the event, the Governor stated that such initiatives strengthen the foundation of unity in diversity.

During the programme, the Governor released the souvenir Chakadola 2025. Udiya Samaj Tripura president Bishnucharan Pati delivered the welcome address. 

As part of the programme artists performed cultural performances, including Odissi dance and Sambalpuri folk dance.
