Agartala Nov 25: A delegation of Left leaders from various wings including Khet Mazdoor Union, Ganamukti Parishad, DYFI among others placed a deputation to the West Tripura District Magistrate Vishal Kumar, urging him to immediately address concerning issues in the rationing system in Mohanpur subdivision.

MLA Nayan Sarkar while talking to the reporters about the deputation, highlighted critical problems affecting the rationing system in the area.

Sarkar pointed out severe damage to the rationing system, leading to significant delays and inconsistencies.

“Unavailability of various essential food items, including flour, cases of flour theft from the government fair price shops, food items being provided at the end of the month and not in the beginning, causing hardship for the local population”, said the Left MLA.

Emphasizing the urgency to alleviate the difficulties faced by the people of Mohanpur subdivision and ensure a reliable rationing system, the deputation placed 3-point demands in front of the DM West.

This includes, immediate action to ensure the provision of flour in all Ration Shops in the area, timely stocking of all essential items meant for consumers, delivery of ration items within first week of every month among others.
