Literature casts positive impact on society: Tripura CM

Agartala/ Udaipur, Dec 25: Literature leaves a positive impact on the society, said Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.
After inaugurating two-day Atal Kabita and Sahitya Utsav at Rajarshi hall in Udaipur on Monday, the Chief Minister said, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was not only a seasoned politician but also a litterateur and poet.
The writings of Atal Bihari Vajpayee painted the picture of national unity and sovereignty; his talent in literature always attracts us, Dr. Saha said.
The Chief Minister also said, Vajpayee had taken steps for proper implementation of various people-centric schemes when he was the Prime Minister. His birthday—December 25 is observed as Good Governance Day.
Dr. Saha said, the state government has been working sincerely to deliver good governance up to the last mile of the society and maintaining transparency in every work.
In line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government has been working in the direction of building Viksit Tripura, Dr. Saha added.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that the two-day utsav would encourage the young generation towards poetry and literature. He also honoured renowned litterateur and poet Kishore Ranjan Dey and eminent litterateur Ramesh Debbarma with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sahitya Sammanona.
Finance minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Secretary of ICA department Dr. P.K. Chakraborty, vice-chairman of cultural advisory committee Subrata Chakraborty, Sabhadhipati in-charge of Gomati Zilla Parishad Debal Debroy, MLA Abhishek Debroy, MLA Ranjit Das, MLA Jitendra Majumder, eminent litterateur Om Prakash Tiwari and renowned poet Vinayak Bandyopadhyay were present in the inaugural ceremony.
