Agartala, Mar 20: Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Mayor Dipak Majumder conducted an inspection of various development works in Ward-49 on Thursday. 

As part of the visit, Majumder reviewed the progress of an under-construction community hall in the ward and interacted with the ward’s corporator. 

Speaking to the media, he assured that the construction of the community hall would be completed within the next three months.

During the visit, local residents and the corporator placed several demands before the Mayor, including the construction of a boundary wall for the safety of the community hall and the development of a local waterbody as an immersion site for idols. Majumder stated that efforts would be made to complete these works before Durga Puja this year.

Besides, he mentioned that local women have requested the establishment of a Kali temple in the area, which is currently under consideration.

AMC Commissioner Shailesh Kumar Yadav, local Councillor Harisadhan Debnath and other officials accompanied him during the visit.
