Agartala Nov 29: Police of Melaghar Police Station successfully intercepted a significant drug operation on Friday morning. The incident unfolded around 10:30 AM when a drug dealer's car rammed into the vehicle of the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Melaghar Police Station, Debashish Saha, in an attempt to escape.

According to OC Debashish Das, the drug dealer's car lost control and veered off the Indranagar main road, ultimately crashing into a house.

Despite the chaos, the police managed to search the vehicle and discovered Yaba tablets worth Rs 3 Crores.

However, during the operation, OC Debashish Saha sustained minor injuries.

Meanwhile, as the driver of the vehicle managed to escape, the co-driver, Didar Hossain, a resident of Kulubari, was apprehended by the police.

Additional SP Rajib Sutradhar provided details to the media, highlighting the successful operation and the ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
