Meri Mati Mera Desh: Tripura CM chairs high-level meeting

Agartala, July 24: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha chaired a high-level meeting to discuss the preparedness for the upcoming country-wide ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign to be held from August 9 to 15 next.
Under this campaign, soil will be collected from various Gram Panchayats and taken to blocks. From every block of the state, one youth will reach Kartavya Path in Delhi with the soil and participate in the main event. Besides, various other programmes will be undertaken in order to mark the beginning of Amrit Kaal and remembering Unsung Heroes of Freedom Struggle.
The Chief Minister said, various programmes have been implemented successfully in the state as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav; Tripura secured the first position in the country in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
Apart from development works, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been working with the goal to keep the country ahead with patriotic thoughts, he said, expressing hope that the people of the state would ensure their participation in the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign.
The Chief Minister also stressed on intensifying the campaign on the programme. He also asked the concerned departments to take preparations in advance for successful implementation of the campaign.
To review the preparations, Dr. Saha also virtually interacted with the District Magistrates and district police officials.
Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) K.S. Sethi and officials from various departments were present in the meeting.
