Amarpur, Sept 01: In the aftermath of the devastating flood, the Amarpur town finds itself grappling with severe losses.
The floodwaters from the overflowing Gomati River not only displaced countless residents but also submerged homes and damaged documents in government offices.
The destruction is particularly severe in several critical offices, where important documents have been completely ruined. Among the worst affected are the Amarpur Co-operative Society Office, the Office of the Inspector of Schools, the Dakshin Amarpur Town Higher Secondary School, and the Amarpur DIC office, affiliated with the TI AIDS Project, managed by the Udaipur Bignan O Sanskriti Mancha.
As the water receded, stunned employees returned to find their workplaces in disarray, with the records vital for daily operations either lost or severely damaged.
The loss of these essential documents has not only paralyzed routine functions but has also left the staff in a difficult position.
This flood has left a deep scar on Amarpur, with both residents and office staff struggling to recover from the damage caused by nature’s fury.
