Agartala Jul 04: An important meeting of the Pradesh Mahila Congress took place on Thursday at the Pradesh Congress Bhavan, Agartala, addressing several critical issues related to the organization.

Pradesh Congress president Asish Kumar Saha presided over the meeting in presence of Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman, Pradesh Mahila Congress president Sarbani Ghosh Chakraborty among others.

Talking to the reporters after the meeting, State Women Congress president Sarbani Ghosh Chakraborty said, “Apart from discussing strategies and measures to strengthen the women’s wing of the party, other key topics included the selection of candidates from the Mahila Congress for the upcoming Panchayat elections”.

The meeting aimed to strategize and strengthen the party’s position ahead of the local elections, said TPCC president Asish Kumar Saha.

Also, participants discussed ways to enhance women’s representation and empower grassroots leaders within the Mahila Congress.
