PM Modi to address Tripura rally; CM inspects last minute preparedness

Agartala April 16: In the run-up to the crucial Lok Sabha elections, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has laid special emphasis on poll campaign with an aim to attract more people towards the saffron camp.
After a successful rally of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on April 15 last at Kumarghat in Tripura’s Unakoti district, the stage is all set for a mega election rally to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the state capital on Wednesday.
On the last day of campaigning for the first phase of polling on April 19, the Prime Minister will travel to Tripura voicing support for the BJP candidates in both the Parliamentary Constituencies of the state.
As per official reports, the chief minister and other dignitaries will receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the MBB Airport, Agartala on Wednesday and later, he will address a mass gathering at the Swami Vivekananda Maidan in the afternoon.
Tripura chief minister Dr Manik Saha accompanied by finance minister Pranajit Singha Roy, State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee among others visited the Astabal ground on Tuesday to inspect the ongoing preparations centering the Prime Minister’s visit.
Expressing confidence in the success of the rally, the chief minister predicted a large turnout of supporters.
He also emphasized that the BJP will secure victory in both the Lok Sabha seats with record margin of votes.
Apart from BJP ministers and party’s candidates put up in both the seats, leaders of TIPRA Motha, ally to the ruling party are also expected to remain present at the Prime Minister’s rally.
