Agartala, Mar 31: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who addressed an impressive election rally at Garji in Gomati district on Sunday, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership is essential for development of the country.

He was campaigning for BJP’s nominee in West Tripura Lok Sabha seat Biplab Kumar Deb. Overwhelmed at the unbelievable support from Nari Shakti in the rally, Dr. Saha viewed that the Bharatiya Janata Party would secure more than 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Dr. Saha highlighted the initiatives taken by the double-engine government for the welfare of the women.
 
“To empower and strengthen the women, the state government kept 33 percent reservation in jobs for women, 55 percent reservation in stall distribution. Apart from this, we have taken more decisions to empower women,” said the Chief Minister.
 
He also criticized the CPM and Congress for misguiding people and unleashing terror across the state during their regimes.
 
“Opposition always said that law and order is not good, but what we have seen is that during their regime, elections meant terror, violence but the 2023 Assembly election was held in a peaceful way. No violence had taken place,” he said. 

Dr. Saha highlighted the importance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for the development of the country and appealed to the people to vote for BJP in the ensuing elections.

“If we want to strengthen the country, then we will need Narendra Modi as Prime Minister. He always works for the people and gives a guarantee. We always respect the constitution,” Dr. Saha added.

Mnister Shukla Charan Noatia, MLA Abhishek Debroy and other local leaders were present in the election rally.

The Chief Minister also welcomed over 130 opposition voters to the saffron camp.
