Kanchanpur Nov 27: Acting on a tip-off, police of Kanchanpur police station recovered large amount of Brown Sugar from a mobile repairing shop.

Reportedly, police had specific information from its sources about illegal drug peddling in the Kanchanpur city.

Police team led by OC Udayan Debbarma of Kanchanpur police station raided a mobile repairing shop in Kanchanpur market.

Police detained two persons along with 21 containers of brown sugar and Rs 650 in cash.

The detained are Gobinda Nath (23) and Ashwi Reang (21).

Police said the detained will be produced before the Dharmanagar District Court.
