Prayers offered in Memory of Saint Teresa on her 112th Birthday

Agartala Aug 26: Nirmala Sishu Griha, Agartala offered prayers in memory of its founder Mother Teresa on her 112th birth anniversary on Friday.
Sisters and children of the orphanage sang hymns bin remembrance of the saint near her portrait.
Serving sisters of Nirmala Sishu Griha said, “This is the celebration of a great person and her every birthday is the celebration for the life of all. It is for the gift of life and this life is given to us so that we can make a gift to others”.
Living for others is a rule of nature and Mother lived this life. She lived to protect and promote the life of the poor, so this is the celebration to live the life for God and for others, she added.
Mother Teresa is a name that reflects love, care and kindness to the core. She was one of the purest souls who dedicated her entire life for the wellbeing of others.
Mother ‘Mary Teresa Bojaxhiu was born on 26th August 1910 in Skopje, which is now the capital of Macedonia. Mother Teressa was only 12 when she decided to dedicate her life to God.
She served many poor and destitute, including Leprosy, Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS patients. She was honoured in the Catholic Church as Saint Teresa of Calcutta.
Noble Prize winner Mother Teresa's has inspired people with her words and deeds and changed many lives. This year on August 26, we observe her 112th birth anniversary.
