Rally organized to mark 80th year of “Quit India Movement”

Agartala Aug 08: To mark the 80th year of Quit India Movement, Monday, All India Krishak Sabha, Tripura Unit, organized a procession.
The procession was taken out from Durgabari Bazaar on Monday morning raising the burning issue of unemployment in the state.
Speaking to the reporters, Mohanpur Divisional Secretary of CPI(M) Party Pranab Debbarma said, August 8 marks the 80th year of Quit India Movement.
“Facing a lot of hardships several freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for India’s Independence, but the present situation of India under Double-Engine Govt both at State and Centre, people are going through extreme miseries. There is no work, no money. Youth of the state and country are hit hard with employment crisis. This is not the Independence people wanted”, said Pranab Debbarma.
The CPI-M backed Farmers wing, demanded immediate restoration of democracy and solution to the unemployment issues.
