Agartala Jan 20: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has turned the inauguration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya to a pomp and gaiety show. With barely a few hours left for the consecration ceremony to be held on January 22, party leaders at all levels are carrying out mass campaigns.
Starting from cleanliness drives at temples and religious places, the BJP leadership are also distributing flags, festoons and banners in context of Lord Rama’s arrival.
Saturday, MoS Pratima Bhowmik also took part in a temple cleanliness drive and later distributed Ram Mandir flags among the common people and businessmen at capital city’s Durga Chowmani market.
Speaking to the reporters, Bhowmik said, “I consider myself and the people of India to be lucky enough as we will remain witness to the grand consecration of Lord Rama at Ayodhya on January 22 next, an event for which a lot of sacrifices were made and people had to wait for long 500 years”.
Having distributed the flags among the common people in the market, Pratima urged the netizens to put up the flags in their respective homes, clean the religious places and celebrate Diwali by lighting lamps on January 22.
