Agartala, Feb 08: The REGA employees’ body of the state on Thursday placed a deputation with the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Kumarghat Dr Sudip Bhowmik and demanded removal of disparity in wages and ensure equal pay for equal work.

The body also placed several other demands with the BDO and threatened to launch a mass movement in near future if their demands are not met.

The deputation was led by State Vice President of All State REGA Employees Organization Nirpendra Sarkar, State Committee Member Sudip Dey, President of Kumarghat Block Cell Committee Nilmani Chanda and other members of the Committee.
