Belonia Nov 09: Youth Trinamool Congress organized a protest in front of the Belonia police station and raised slogans demanding the arrest of culprits involved in the incident of vandalizing a shop of TMC supporter.

Reportedly, shop of one Ashok Majumder, father of Youth Trinamool Congress leader Rahul Majumder was attacked and vandalized on Monday in Belonia College Square area.

Following the incident, Ashok Majumdar, lodged a written complaint with the Belonia police station mentioning the name of the accused.

But even after three days, police of Belonia PS failed to arrest the miscreants.

Raising question over the negligence of Police personnel in proving services to the common people, Trinamool Congress leaders and activists gathered at the Belonia PS on Wednesday afternoon demanding immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the accused.

Later, a four-member delegation met OC Paritosh Das at Belonia police station.

The delegation included Youth Trinamool leader Rahul Majumder, district Trinamool Congress leader Prashanta Sen, state vice-president Tridib Dutta, student council state leader Ahindra Basu, and Kajal Banik.

Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress activists alleged the family members of Youth Trinamool Congress leader have been suffering from insecurity since they filed complaint against the three accused at Belonia police station.
