Smoke from Bangalore bound Humsafar Express triggers panic

Dharmanagar Feb 10: Smoke coming out from B-6 Coach of Bangalore- Agartala Humsafar Express as it halted at Dharmanagar Railway Station at around 8:15 am on Saturday morning triggered a situation of panic among the passengers.
Station Manager RPF Sub- inspector Lakshman Debbarma along with other RPF personnel rushed to the spot.
The emission of smoke later stopped as fire extinguisher was sprayed across the B-6 compartment.
The train was also thoroughly screened before the passengers were asked to re-board and departed from Dharmanagar Railway Station.
Although the railway officials assured that the incident was not major but panic gripped the passengers as the Humsafar Express is the longest distance communication system from the state capital.
