Agartala, Sept 30: Special Lok Adalat will be held in all the district and sub-divisional court premises on October 8 next.

During this Lok Adalat that will start from 10 am, 33 Benches would take up around 22,889 cases for disposal. The figure includes 11,645 cases under MV Act, 2023 cases under Tripura Gambling Act, 686 cases under Tripura Excise Act, 9 cases related to domestic violence/ women safety, 8087 cases under Tripura Police Act, 6 cases under Cruelty to Animal Act and 83 cheque bounce cases.

The work of this Lok Adalat will commence from October 3 next.

The persons, who have been issued notices under the MV Act, Tripura Gambling Act, Tripura Excise Act, Tripura Police Act, Indian Electricity Act and Cruelty to Animal Act, may contact Legal Service Authorities from October 3 to 7 (10 am to 4.30 pm) in the respective court premises and take various facilities for early disposal of the cases.
