Agartala, Jan 3: Tripura Scheduled Castes Coordination Committee organized a state-level convention at Agartala Town Hall on Thursday. 

The convention highlighted an 11-point charter of demands. 

Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, the organization’s state president Ratan Bhowmik, secretary Sudhan Das and Ramchandra Dome, general secretary of Dalit Shoshan Mukti Manch attended the event as chief guest.

Addressing the gathering, Manik Sarkar criticized the BJP, alleging failure to fill vacancies, attacks on party workers and neglect of pre-election promises.

He also highlighted unemployment under the BJP government and called for united protests across the state in the coming days.
